Question by Marc M: “Cannot Get Mail The connection to the server failed.” Error message?
Recently, I am receiving the error message below when I am using my Apple mobile devices (an iPod touch, an iPhone 4, an iPhone 4S, and an iPad 2):

“Cannot Get Mail The connection to the server failed.”

The period that I am unable to connect to the server has lasted as short as a few hours and as long as 48 hours. This is exclusively a problem with the Yahoo! server for the mobile devices, because I can still get to my Yahoo! mail account on my laptop and my iMac, during the period when I am receiving the error message on all of the mobile devices.

I would like to know why this connection error continues to occur and when will a solution be forthcoming.

I myself get something similar when I try to access email on my mobile phone.

Sometimes if this happens indoors,I usually go outside and that helps to fix the
problem but not always.You could try the same thing and see if that helps.
Probably because the signal is much stronger outside.

It could also mean that your network is busy,has a lot of users or web traffic.
Just try again another time when it might be less busy time of day when most
have logged off.
