Do remember that just because it’s a 3rd gen doesn’t mean you’ll have full features. The apple IOS4 site does state “iOS 4 works with iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, and iPhone 3G. Not all features are compatible with all devices. For example, multitasking is available only with iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS.”. That would lead me to believe that only the iPhones (3GS and 4) will get multitasking; and older devices and the iPod touch may not.

That said, (http://www.wired.com/gadgetlab/2010/06/apple-launches-ios-4/) leads me to believe that you should receive all features of iOS4… This is quite perplexing.

Have you tried restoring your iPod using iTunes back to default. Perhaps there is an error of some sort in your iOS4 installation… I’d suggest trying a restore… short of that I’m not too sure.

I would actually prefer Galaxy S4 because of the better features.

While iPhone being the previous year’s technology has similar features but lesser in amount. Plus I prefer the bigger screen.
